Among the annual events important to many people are Christmas, their birthdays, and summer vacations. But for technophiles the next big Apple release ranks right up there, with the release of the fourth generation Apple iPhone now looming large.
June 7

This is NOT the 4G iPhone!
That wait appears to be almost over, at least according to social media guide Mashable, who is predicting a June 7 debut. That date represents the opening day of the five-day Worldwide Developers Conference in San Francisco and, given Apple’s inclination to release new or updated products to coincide with big media events such as tech conferences, will give the all-new iPhone its chance to shine front and center.
While no one can say for certain that June 7 is the release date for the all-new iPhone, the likelihood that it will be delayed much longer than that seems remote.
Snitched iPhone
On April 19, Gizmodo published photos of what they claimed is the next generation iPhone, from someone who recovered a lost (or snitched) prototype of that model and began to play around with it. When Apple discovered that the lost product had been found, they killed the phone remotely but only after its founder(s) realized that the device was running iPhone 4.0 features.
There must be a much deeper story behind this, one filled with intrigue and corporate espionage. Hmmm…maybe the movie producers of “The Firm” could use this incident to make their next story about creepy corporate types….
4G iPhone
Getting back to the iPhone we know this much: it’ll be lighter, cheaper and more advanced than the predecessor. Or, at least it will continue to advance Apple as a formidable force to be reckoned with in all things touch-screen.
Mashable says that the 4G iPhone will offer both a front facing and back facing camera, include a better display, utilize split volume buttons and have a MICRO sim card. They also expect that the rumors about the upcoming iPhone will run rampant between now and then, given Apple’s highly secretive nature and the desire of news techies to break the news as its happens.
