Some of us support it, and welcome it with open arms. Others are dreading it with a fury, and will never support it. So the question that may come to your mind is, how will Obamacare involve me? Well, amazingly, Obamacare could become your best defender. Check out the facts.
If you happen to be without insurance, then you understand what a burden medical cost can be. Medical bills have actually bankrupted some, and many others are on the verge of bankruptcy. And let’s face it; even though it is a medical bill, it is still a form of debt. Thank goodness the United States eliminated debtors’ prisons in 1833. But when you owe thousands of dollars in medical bills, it definitely feels like prison, and medical debt help is the only thing that can help bail you out. Find resources that can equip you with the right decisions and maybe solution.
The key word even for Obamacare is “affordable”. In order to qualify for the cheaper premiums under the plan, you must fall in to specific income eligibility categories. If you fit in the right category, then you are lucky. If you don’t, it will depend on which end of the “ineligible” spectrum you fit. If you make too much money, then you don’t have to worry about it because you probably already have health insurance.
If you don’t have insurance, chances are you still have enough money to pay for your medical expenses. Even if you fall at the “I have no money” end of the eligibility sliding scale, you don’t have anything to worry about either. You will receive full coverage through the exchange or your state. But if you fall somewhere in the middle of this spectrum, then, you have plenty to worry about. If you have pre-existing medical conditions, the premiums will be higher for you. Sure, you will get assistance from the government to help pay, but because you have sustainable income, you are still going to have to come out of your pocket to cover your share of the premium cost.
In other words, if the insurance premium is $800.00 a month, and you are only eligible to receive Obamacare financial assistance of $500.00, then someone has got to pay the other $300.00 that is floating out there in cyberspace. Unfortunately for you, after floating around in cyberspace, it’s still going to land right at your door step. So if you don’t have insurance now, you will have to get some beginning next year. With a bit of luck, hopefully you fall at either end of the Obamacare eligibility spectrum.
