7 Ways to Legally Make Money Fast

7 Ways to Legally Make Money Fast
  • Opening Intro -

Get rich quick schemes are typically a rip-off, costing the person hooked in his dignity and perhaps a whole lot of money.

    Sometimes you need money fast.

Besides doing something illegal or unethical, your choices may seem limited, but there are ways for you to raise some cash to help meet a car payment or buy groceries.

-------------------------------------

When you need some hard cash in a hurry!

Read on and we’ll take a look at some of the best ways for you to legally make money fast.

1. Work part-time

Moonlighting has been practiced for generations, a way for workers to raise some extra cash while holding down a full-time job. Most positions will require you to wait a week or two before receiving your first paycheck, but you can earn money immediately if you work as wait staff at a restaurant or hold some other position where tips are paid each time you show up for work.

2. Take contract assignments

Like working part-time, contracting work (freelance work) can provide a quick way for you to earn money, especially if the terms favor immediate payment. This means negotiating with a client to produce the cash as quickly as you produce the work. Write some articles, key in code, answer phone calls or parlay a certain talent into a money producing endeavor.

3. Do odd jobs

If you can’t commit yourself to a part-time job and contract work isn’t up your alley, then consider doing odd jobs. Look around your neighborhood: someone may need to have her lawn cut or hedges trimmed, dog walked, kids watched, pool cleaned out, cars washed or some other job handled. Do the work now and get paid immediately, maybe getting enough money to buy groceries today. Ask for referrals too — plenty of people need help handling special jobs and will be glad to enlist your services at the recommendation of a friend.

4. Sell your stuff

If you own stuff you don’t need, get it ready for sale. Use online sites such as Craigslist to find people who might want your electronic device, your stamps collection or any other items of value. You can also hold an impromptu garage sale — yes, even on a weekday! When the urgency for raising cash exists, your creative or “outside of the box” juices should begin flowing.

5. Give of yourself

If you donate blood or plasma, you may be able to get paid for your trouble. In addition, if you participate in a medical study, you may be paid for your time. Contact local medical companies including pharmaceutical companies for options available to you.

6. Cash in your change

That bottle or jar of loose change may hold more money in it than you think. Collect your loose change and check in your sofa, chair or loveseat for loose change. Add it all together and you may find that you have enough money to cover a bill. You may also fine a heritage quarter that is worth many times its face value, something you may be able to sell to your local coin collector.

7. Rent out a room

If you have an extra room in your apartment or house, consider taking in a boarder to help cover your expenses. You’ll get the first month’s rent up front, money you can use to turn around and pay your landlord, make a car payment or buy food.

There are many other ways for you to make cash quickly including preparing meals for a family on the go, transporting someone to a doctor’s appointment, pet-sitting and whatever else crosses your mind. Consider your options and do what you can to legally make money fast.
