How much do you love shopping? How much do you enjoy getting the best deals on the styles you love? If you could find everything you wanted online would you get it or would you get up at the crack of dawn to buy it?
Most people have heard of Black Friday, the day after Thanksgiving, where shoppers flock to their favorite department store and indulge in the best sale of the year. They wake themselves up before the sun comes out, throw on a coat over their pajamas and hit the road to make that sale before everyone else does. Then, they find that everyone else had the same idea and they are not the only ones who had the brilliant idea of getting there first.
But, what about Cyber Monday? It was introduced just five years ago, and already people are believing the buzz about how this day of shopping might be superior to the traditional Black Friday. Is Cyber Monday better than Black Friday? Let’s look at five reasons why it just might be your new favorite shopping day of the year.
1. After a nice warm home-cooked meal at home, followed by a deep sleep, who really wants to get up at the crack of dawn and be cold? The sales are worth it. But, what if you could get them at home? You could save the shopping energy and recoup at home with your family that Friday, enjoy leftovers, and rest up for a big weekend.
2. You don’t have to go anywhere when Monday hits, except to the kitchen for a nice warm cup of coffee. Grab a seat in front of your computer with some nice cozy slippers and let the shopping begin. You can find all those deals from Black Friday, right online – that’s Cyber Monday!
3. Here’s where the nice surprise comes in. When cousin Sally calls you with the great news about her slammin’ deal on rain boots, you can boast right back about how you got an even better deal online. Better yet, they will be shipped to your home.
4. While everyone else is getting up early and rushing on Black Friday, you get to spend more quality time at home with your family, the way a Thanksgiving weekend should be.
5. The best reason to wait for Cyber Monday and stay home on Black Friday? No crowds! Everyone loves shopping, but most people are not in love with the crowds. With Cyber Monday, there are no parking lot jams, no waiting in lines, and no arguing over items in the store. On Cyber Monday, you click on what you want, you buy it, and it’s sent right to you. Now, that’s a way to shop!
Sure, Black Friday has become quite a tradition for holiday shopping, but why not start a new tradition on those Fridays? Maybe it’s time to do something a little less chaotic after Thanksgiving. While engaged in that other activity, you can know that your shopping day awaits on Monday, when you can get all that you want for the best prices around.
