Well-Paid Position
If you ask any recent college grad what he or she is looking for in a job, it’s likely that a majority of them will say, “money” and who doesn’t want to be paid well for working hard? While it’s a great goal to go after the job of your dreams or one that is related to your major, don’t brush off job opportunities that are not at the top of your list or even on your radar.
Many people will argue that in our economy (even though it’s improving), that job seekers can’t be too picky. While you shouldn’t sell yourself short, don’t pass up a well-paying job if you think it’s something you can handle and it fits some of your other criteria; even if it is just a starting position.
Job positions that are far from your dream position may end up surprising you and you may even end up loving what you do. If anything, it will help you keep on top of debt and it can create important networks and skills that will make you even more employable in the future.

Almost all job seekers are looking for a job that is secure, but how about safe? Although occupations are deemed “safe” and many of us may take our safety at work for granted, there are plenty of jobs that are more dangerous, putting employees at risk for an injury.

Not only should your prospective employer have a safety plan implemented in the workplace, but they should also have workers’ compensation coverage for its employees.
One of the best ways to stay safer on the job is by avoiding a dangerous career, but always remember that a work-related injury can happen at any time and often without warning.
