While there are so many different paths to choose from, there are some pretty standard rules that apply across industries. 2. Education
While there are many people who might discourage formal education and tons of student loan debt, there’s nothing like the experience. To be able to learn from accomplished professors and get hands-on experience in practicums is priceless. Plus, you can always work your way through school and graduate debt-free.

Volunteerism is an excellent idea for anyone who really wants to progress as a working professional because it’s an opportunity to gain hands-on experience. There’s so much you can learn about yourself through volunteering with others in different settings. Unless your field is one where you’re reclusive, you’ll have to learn how to work with others and get a job done.
Volunteering in different environments will give you the experience you need to learn more about your habits and your workflow. It’ll also help you realize different ways you can improve on both professional and personal levels.
