Create Opportunities to Engage With Alumni
Alumni engagement is an important service to offer in order to support your students. They always say that the way you succeed, get a job after college, and move up in the world has to do with who you know.
The university can support students in reaching their potential by creating different opportunities to engage with alumni. Things like mentor programs, classes with alumni guest speakers, and alumni networking brunches are all opportunities to create relationships.
If you don’t have any alumni engagement opportunities, really hone in on that in the coming year. Especially while students are mostly remote, virtual networking events end up being quite beneficial.
Seek Out Feedback
Another way universities can better support students is by seeking out feedback. When it comes to activities on campus, food served at the cafeteria, dorm rooms, or anything else, students are the ones who know it best. Nobody knows the pros and cons better, and nobody will answer as honestly as students do.
