What is Success?
Good question! Most often the answer you will hear relates to money, power, fame or good looks. But if these terms are used to define success, then why do we find so many people with money, power, etc., living lives that are unfulfilled? Why are many “successful” paying high-priced therapists to bring them happiness? Success must have a deeper meaning. What could it be?
The True Meaning of Success
Successful people are individuals —
- who are happy with who they are
- who are satisfied with their accomplishments
- who have high self-esteem
- who have high self-confidence
- who have high self-worth
- who have the strength to achieve their goals
- who are disciplined
So how does someone achieve this level of self-satisfaction and success?
The Building Blocks of Success
- First: Improve and round your character. This means that you take on goals to improve yourself physically, educationally, socially, and spiritually. This exercise will increase motivation, self-confidence and discipline.
- Second: Define and establish goals. You need have something to aspire for.
- Third: Manage and allocate your time to achieve your goals and enjoy other activities.
You can summarize these concepts into three phrases: Character Building (i.e., discipline), Goal Setting (i.e., planning), and Time Management (i.e., execution)
That is what this BLOG is about: planning, discipline and execution (PDE). The three ingredients that will help you achieve success and self-fulfillment.
We invite you to use this BLOG as a guide to achieve success in your life. New posting will appear each Wednesday and Saturday morning. We welcome comments about your own experiences in achieving success.

Part II:
How To Become … Say … the President of the United States
Dave finds that he needs a goal plan to achieve his dream. The plan is broken down into goals, benchmarks and tasks. To write a goal plan is one thing, but to achieve it is another. Dave has nasty little impediments that need to be changed before he embarks on anything so grand. This is true for anyone who wants to achieve success in life. Nasty little impediments define who we are. Our task is to charge our character in order to achieve the success we want.

The Justwyn Model for Planning, Discipline and Execution
Success requires three ingredients: planning, discipline and execution. Part III introduces the planning ingredient. Every success starts with a goal. Planning success means arranging goals so that one goal achievement can help you achieve the next goal. What we illustrate using a model is how to plan goals in a pyramid shape so that you can quickly achieve the things you want in life.

Planning for Success: The First Ingredient
You’ve heard the old adage, “you can be whatever you want to be.” Nice, right? But a more accurate quotation would sound something like this, “you can be whomever you work to become.” The goals we seek in life demand work. Those who understand this — and are willing to work hard — are generally the people who succeed. There is nothing secret about success. No magic formula, mysticism, or Irish luck. Success comes from planning, discipline, and execution. Part IV of our BLOG postings focus on the first ingredient of success: planning our respective goals and tasks. Planning is the direction we set to achieve our objectives.

Discipline for Success: The Second Ingredient
Discipline is the second ingredient for success. It’s the physical and mental action that performs the tasks outlined in your plan. We increase discipline by overcoming the impediments that hinder our progress and building up the attributes that makeup our character.
