It has been documented in the UK that 82% of UK adults –according to National Statistics Office – logged on online in their first quarter of 2014. Therefore, approximately 40 million people in the UK get their information from the internet. This guarantees the business owner a potential audience of millions every time they communicate using the digital media platforms.

Digital marketing strategies are quickly becoming prevalent and most businesses, even big companies are incorporating digital marketing in their strategies and setting out budgets. Therefore, small businesses should embrace digital media strategies, and faster, as traditional marketing methods are slowly being phased out and being ineffective.
