Used Luxury Cars: Pay Less for That Cruise Up the Ladder to Success
Written by SayEducate Admin // February 12, 2013 // Autos Express // Comments Off
Lot’s of people agree that when you look good, you feel good and both of those concepts put together are key components to achieving success in life, finances and relationships. BusinessInsider.com referred to a study that was conducted by Dario Maestripieri, a professor of comparative human development, evolutionary biology, and neurobiology at the University of Chicago, that showed clients preferred doing business with good-looking people as opposed to people who had an average or below-average appearance.
For those who don’t want to go under the knife to get that promotion, or if you’re not ready for an extreme change in your appearance, having a sexier car is the next best thing. While it’s true that most sports cars and coupes are on the pricey side, there are plenty of affordable used cars out there that can offer the illusion that you can afford a vintage sports car that will turn the heads of all of your friends and co-workers. CarGurus.com’s blog recommends a few very attractive used cars that we fell in love with at first click, and even though these cars are so gorgeous, they won’t hit you as hard in your pocketbook. We narrowed our picks to the used BMW Z4, Nissan 350Z and Mazda MX-5.
BMW Z4
While it’s true that the 2009-10 BMW Z4 is far from affordable (starting out as low as $50,000 for a lightly used 2009), CarGuru’s blog does say that you can find very nice specimens from 2008, priced at $25,000, with only 20-25,000 miles. If you go for one with higher mileage, the price will take an even bigger dive, since these cars aren’t made for long commutes; this rockin’ roadster was made to rumble around tight corners and glide like a cobra, slick down the highway.
Nissan 350Z
If you need to take things down a notch, but only slightly, the Nissan 350Z can hold its own on the road to success. This foreign car was a steal and a dream to drive when it was new, so it’s depreciation has only shown itself in its price tag and not in its performance levels. You can find one that’s a 2004-09, priced at $15-24,000, not too shabby and you’ll have a blast driving this silver bullet into work or to the beach.
